The first candles were poured in a farmhouse kitchen outside Skipton, mostly because the house was cold and the shop-bought ones burned out in a weekend. Friends asked for one. Then their friends did. By spring there was a workbench in the spare room and a name borrowed from the two trees at the end of the lane.

What we make
Soy and rapeseed wax candles that burn clean for forty-five hours. Reed diffusers that last a season, not a fortnight. Wool throws woven for us by a fourth-generation Yorkshire mill, in colours picked to sit quietly in a room.
What we avoid
Paraffin, plastic, glitter, and anything designed to be thrown away. Jars are made to be refilled. Bring or send back any six empties and your next candle is on us.
