E-commerce search engine optimisation (SEO) connects your store with people who are most likely to buy. When shoppers search for products or compare options on Google, a well optimised catalogue and site structure help your pages appear in those results.
Organic search drives a large share of online sales, so getting your product data, categories and content right can make the difference between winning a basket and losing a customer.
How Can We Help?

Be Found Locally When It Matters
In today’s retail landscape, winning sales starts with being visible wherever people search for products. That includes Google Search, Google Shopping, Bing and category results. We help online stores grow with E-Commerce SEO that is practical and measurable. The aim is simple. Put your products in front of buyers at the moment they compare options and are ready to add to basket.
No two stores are the same. We build a plan around your catalogue, your platform and your margins. From buyer intent keywords to category structure and filters, we align the site to how people actually shop. Whether you sell a tight range or thousands of SKUs, we map the most efficient path to rank product and collection pages and to scale new ranges fast.
Our team brings more than 14 years of experience improving organic revenue for SMEs. We use people, not bots, to research, fix and refine. Work includes site speed, structured data, faceted navigation, internal links, unique product copy, content hubs and review integration. Every task supports one goal. Make it easy for customers to find the right product and to check out.
Trusted by businesses across the UK and backed by strong reviews, DPOM is your partner for sustainable online growth. Expect clear reporting on revenue, ROAS, rankings and key categories. SEO Frequently Asked Questions
New to SEO? Here are our frequently asked questions! If you’d like to ask more, just reach out to us here!
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) makes it possible for people to find you in organic search results without having to pay for ads. SEO still requires investment and time but as a long-term marketing strategy, it has some of the best ROI available. As optimisation progresses, you get more organic traffic and more traffic = more customers and revenue.
SEO isn’t just about ranking for 1 or a handful of super competitive keywords. It’s about understanding the market in which you operate and ranking for 100’s or even 1000’s of search terms that your potential customers use when buying your products. Spoiler: Only a minority of customers use that big obvious term that you’re thinking about. In fact, 70% of searches online come from what is known as ‘long-tail keywords’ which means more specific sets of terms usually more than 3 words long. For example the term “jeans” might have lots of volume, but it’s incredibly competitive. However, when you consider that search terms such as “blue jeans 32-inch waist ” and 1000’s of other variations in aggregate equal more search volume AND are more specific, they indicate a customer is more ready to buy and as such, lead to more sales. Going Niche is the key to any successful SEO campaign.
Link schemes are against Google Webmaster Guidelines and can result in penalties including permanent exclusion from Google. We do however create compelling content which attracts natural links that helps increase your visibility. It is important to remember that links are just one of over 500 factors when it comes to ranking well. If you want to obtain links, you need to create content that people WANT to link too.
Not only does quality content attract natural links, it helps search engines like Google and Bing understand more about your website and what search terms to rank you for. All of our SEO packages include content creation (like a blog for example) as standard – it is critical to achieving increased visibility.
SEO is a long term marketing activity. It usually takes several months to see notable performance increases and performance usually increases as the months and years go on. SEO is a perpetual marketing activity: if you stop, you fall behind.
Yes. In fact, over the long term, it has some of the best ROI out there. However, patience is key and you must expect it to take several months to really start delivering results. Beware of SEO agencies offering quick results: They may be engaging in practices that do not conform to Google Webmaster Guidelines which could result in your site getting a ranking penalty or even permanent exclusion from search results.
