There is little doubt that we are living in trying times. The coronavirus has surprised us all with its speed, effects and the way it has changed our normal way of life, perhaps forever. But, with peoples resilience and determination, we will prevail.

With self-isolation altering how we work and live, ordering from online retailers is on the rise out of necessity. Amazon, for example, is not only taking on an additional 100,000 employees in the US, but UK warehouses are also being told to work overtime to tackle huge demand due to the coronavirus pandemic, despite government calls to restrict social contact. Don’t Help Your Competitors

Companies, as well as individuals, are having to economise and cut back to save money due to the uncertainty of present times and how long this pandemic will last. So, in many cases, companies will consider stopping their marketing spend to free up cash and resources. As Henry Ford once said, “A man who stops advertising to save money is like a man who stops a clock to save time.” Advertising is an integral part of any successful business, it lets people know you are there and if you’re not advertising, your competitors are eating into your market share. The last thing you need is to survive a brief period of instability only to be way behind everyone else when things start to return to normal.

Online marketing is perhaps the most cost-effective marketing tool available. Even more so now as internet use has substantially increased. So what does that mean for your business?
