Domain name terms

We register the domain you choose, for the term you choose (1, 2 or 3 years), through our registrar partner. You are the registrant: the domain is registered in your name, or your company's if you give one.
You pay the full price for the term, plus VAT, by card when you order. We register the domain once your payment has been received. Each payment covers the whole term it is for.
We check the name is free when you search and again when you pay. If someone else registers it in between, we contact you to choose another name.
Your domain renews automatically for the same term, charged to the card you used 30 days before it expires. It renews at the price you paid, or at the normal price if you used a discount code for your first term. We email you 60 days before the renewal charge, 7 days before it, and on every anniversary inside a 2 or 3 year term.
To stop it renewing, email cancellations@dpom.co.uk and complete the cancellation form you receive by return, at least 31 days before the renewal charge date.
If a renewal payment fails we email you a link to pay and try the card again before the expiry date. If it is still unpaid on the expiry date the domain is not renewed and may be lost; registries can charge extra to restore an expired domain.
If we ever need to change your renewal price we tell you in writing at least 31 days before the renewal charge.
You must give accurate owner details. Registry rules (Nominet for .uk names, ICANN for the others) require it, and we pass them to the registrar and registry to register the domain.
Once your domain is paid up you can move it to another provider: ask accounts@dpom.co.uk for the transfer code.
A domain name does not include a website, hosting or email; we can set those up separately. Domains are sold to businesses, and these terms sit alongside our standard terms.

Buying a domain

How much does a domain name cost?

A .co.uk or .uk domain is £19 for 1 year, £34.20 for 2 years or £48.45 for 3 years, and a .com is £25, £45 or £63.75. Prices are + VAT and cover the whole term. Other endings are in the price table above.

Who owns the domain?

You do. The domain is registered with you as the registrant, or your company if you give one when you order.

What if my card has changed?

Every renewal email has a secure link to change the card. If a renewal payment fails, we email you a link to pay and try the card again before the domain expires.

What is included

Does a domain name include a website or email?

No, a domain name is the address on its own. We can build the website, host it and set up business email separately; call us on 0115 647 0111.

Can you point my domain at my website?

Yes. Reply to your confirmation email or contact support@dpom.co.uk and we will set it up.
