Prices and packages
How much does ChatGPT Ads management cost?
DPOM manages ChatGPT Ads for a fixed monthly fee starting from £145, with further packages at £295, £445 and £695, and Premium from £1,500 with Brett. All prices are +VAT. Your ad spend is paid by you to OpenAI direct, on your own card, and is not part of our fee.
Do you charge a percentage of my ad spend?
No, never. Our management is a flat monthly fee based on your package, so it does not climb as your spend grows. Your ad spend goes to OpenAI in full.
Is there a set up fee?
Yes, a one-off set up of £295 on every package. It covers opening your Ads Manager account in your business’s name, conversion tracking and your first ads.
What is the minimum ad budget?
OpenAI sets a minimum daily budget per campaign, about £15 a day at the moment, and we confirm the current minimum with you before you sign. A Starter budget (up to £500 a month) runs one campaign.
Which package should I choose?
Choose by the monthly ad budget you want managed: up to £500 on Starter, £2,500 on Lite, £7,500 on Standard and £15,000 on Elite. Above that, or if you want Brett to run your account, Premium is a bespoke retainer. Any advertiser can choose any package, provided they do not exceed its maximum monthly ad spend.
Are these the same packages as Google Ads?
Yes, the same five packages, prices and ad-budget bands as our Google Ads management, with the tools that make sense for ChatGPT Ads. The Google Ads pricing page shows them side by side.
Do you offer shopping feed optimisation?
Yes. Standard, Elite and Premium include shopping feed optimisation with Starfeed. We connect your product feed so ChatGPT can show your products with a photo and price, where OpenAI offers product ads for your account. OpenAI turns product feeds on account by account, so we check whether it is available for you before you sign. Starter and Lite do not include it.
Is there a contract?
No. Packages are monthly and rolling, with 31 days’ notice. Because the platform is new, we recommend giving it around 90 days so there is enough data to judge it fairly.
Eligibility and results
Who sees ads in ChatGPT?
Adults using ChatGPT's Free and Go plans. People on the paid Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans do not see ads, and ads are never shown to under-18s or alongside sensitive conversations such as health, mental health or politics.
Can my business advertise on ChatGPT?
Most consumer businesses can. At the moment OpenAI does not accept most health, medical, legal or financial services advertisers in the UK, and does not allow gambling, alcohol, tobacco, dating, political, or individual job or property listing ads. We check your eligibility before you pay us anything.
Who owns the ChatGPT Ads account?
You do. The account is in your business's name and your own card pays OpenAI for the ads. If you ever leave us, the account, the ads and the data stay with you.
Can I target my local area?
Partly. OpenAI lets campaigns target a country and, where it offers them, regions within it, and what is offered varies by country, so we check what can be used for your area before you sign. The conversation itself also carries location. If you only cover a small local area, Google Ads is usually the better place to start.
How do you measure results?
We install OpenAI's tracking pixel and its Conversions API on your website, so enquiries from your website are counted. You get a clear report on spend, clicks and enquiries, and the bidding learns from real enquiries rather than clicks alone.
Should I move budget away from Google Ads?
Usually not. Google Ads reaches people ready to buy right now, and ChatGPT Ads reach them earlier, while they are researching. We recommend starting ChatGPT Ads with a separate test budget alongside your Google Ads, then deciding with real numbers.
