Google are making changes to the way we view information regarding hotels.
Earlier in the year Google announced improvements that would enable a searcher to view more detailed information about hotels such as reviews, prices & availability. People could see this information directly in the search results or in Google maps. Well this month there will be more changes to this information in the U.S. and the availability of this feature will hopefully be spread out across 24 more countries through next year.
This will give searchers an even clearer view of whether that specific hotel is suited to them. Google’s intention is to make travellers lives as easy as possible. From personal experience it can be a real pain when booking a hotel especially in a new city, you need to know whether or not parking is available or if the hotel has free Wi-Fi. Having this information available to you on the search results page would make improve the experience of booking a hotel and I’m looking forward to the changes eventually coming to the UK.
