This week, Haily De La Cruz, who is program manager for campaign managements at Bing, said that users have been requesting automated rules for sometime. Well Bing have listened and now such features are available.

The new automate button provides us with 13 different automation rules including raising keywords to top of page or first page bids, pausing at all levels or changing budgets and bids.

The interface is very simple and easy to use, however you should definitely have a look around and ensure you account for all of the different outcomes and scenarios that these changes could instigate before making changes.

Some rules you can directly relate to the rules you may already have set up in your AdWords account.

For example, you could create a rule that will increase your budget for all of your enabled campaigns by 20% when you become limited by budget by 5pm.

If you’ve never set up automated rules before then Bing have provided us with some example rules with instructions, these will help you get started.

Another brilliant feature of these automated rules is the preview option, allowing you to preview the results of your rules before you start running them, so that you can be sure that they are going to have the desired impact.

As this was an initial launch, there will almost certainly be more of these rules added in the not so distant future.
