Today, Wednesday, Matt Cutts Chief of Webspam at Google tweeted that Google Panda 4.0 is being rolled out today.
Google’s Panda algorithm is designed to stop websites with poor quality content from rising to the top of the search rankings.
Some time ago, Google did state they would no longer update us on the Panda algorithm as it would now be refreshed monthly yet here’s is Matt Cutts’ tweet:
Google is rolling out our Panda 4.0 update starting today.

This can only mean it’s a more significant update to the algorithm, time will tell but as according to Search Engine land this update impacts roughly 7.5% of queries to a noticeable degree.
